Now retired, Gary Davis had committed an astounding 53 years to the brick industry before his retirement in 2013. He was a regional director of SCPI (now the BIA) as a drain tile specialist with his degree in agriculture from the University of Iowa for several years, and after the region dissipated he was recruited into by a brick manufacturer before ending up at Endicott Clay Products where he found his home, working for them for 41 years.
We ask all of the inductees of the Brickman's Hall of Fame to choose a charity that is near and dear to them, so if those that read are moved to do so they may donate to it. Gary chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
St. jude Children's Research Hospital needs little introduction. Their mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
