We were able to sit down with Ray Staub in 2008, at his home in Ohio. Don has known Ray for decades, Ray once being Don's boss at Glen-Gary where Ray held the position of vice president. He's been in the brick industry over sixty years, starting his first job in piecework and driving lift trucks at Belden Brick when he was 15 in 1948. He worked up the ladder over the years to kiln foreman and yard foreman to national sales manager, then vice president of sales at Sioux City Brick, before ending up as the vice president at Glen-Gary. Today he is a consultant for brick manufacturers.
